Tomintoul & Glenlivet

Open Day – 27th May

Tomintoul & Glenlivet Landscape Partnership will be joining Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust at their Open Day event in Glenlivet Hall on 27th May from 4 – 8pm.

Please come along and find out more about the wide range of projects which are being developed for the Landscape Partnership Heritage Lottery Fund bid. Renovations and improved access to Blairfindy Castle and to the mill buildings at Scalan are just two of the heritage projects which need your ideas and input to go forward.

We also need suggestions, ideas and new volunteers to help develop and upgrade Tomintoul Museum.

The Landscape Partnership also wants to develop a strand of Cultural Heritage projects so please come along and chat to project leads from Cairngorms National Park and from the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historic Monuments of Scotland to share your thoughts and suggestions about the kinds of natural and built heritage projects you would like to see going forward.

You can also find out more about our plans to improve footpaths in the area by upgrading the Speyside Way spur to Tomintoul and identifying other heritage sites which would benefit from improved access.

What else makes this area and its heritage special and distinctive – and how do we best share that with others in the community and from further afield? Help us to shape plans to improve interpretation in the area to share and celebrate this great place!

If you cannot make the event on the 27th but would like to get involved in any of the Landscape Partnership projects (we are also developing projects to improve wader habitats, water environment, training opportunities). Please get in touch!
